Business Analyst

Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technical Business Analyst to join our expanding Technology team here at Findel as we continue our digital transformation. Reporting into the Head of Software Engineering, you will lead the discovery and analysis of multiple projects to understand our unique problems and deliver real technology and business transformation.

As a BA you will work with all areas of the business and key stakeholders being responsible for the analysis and capture of requirements for new business initiatives, and in-turn help define scope to create effective solutions that fit the business needs. This will all be supported by your experience using a range of techniques to produce process maps, user cases and user journeys.

You will also form part of the agile development delivery team, using your strong interpersonal skills to work alongside the Project Manager, Developers, UIUX Designers and Testers ensuring that requirements are fully understood. To do this you will lead the transformation of requirements into deliverable epics and user stories.

What you will do

- Work on multiple and varied projects and solutions

- Lead analysis of new business initiatives, gathering and documenting requirements and assisting in the development of business cases and solution design

- Work with Project Managers to effectively communicate plans to cross-functional team members and management

- Support in providing project timescales and all aspects of managing the analysis process

- Build a clear backlog of work driven from a value-based prioritisation approach

- Running refinement sessions with the development team to ensure that user stories are correctly interpreted and kept up to date

- Participation in implementation projects and serve as a liaison between multiple business users, stakeholders and the development team throughout the process.

What we are looking for in you

- Prior experience working as an Agile Business Analyst, ideally across IT projects

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure full engagement in the business analysis and business requirements gathering process, resolving conflicting requirements where needed.

- Proven experience with business analysis & modelling tools

- Experience of working within Project Management delivery methodologies

- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, ideally in an agile environment

- Experience operating in a fast-paced organisational environment with a requirement to balance different priorities and demands

- Able to work independently, excellent personal organisation and able to demonstrate consistently balanced good judgement and logical thought prioritisation

- Competent in using collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Teams
