Agile Project Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Agile Project Manager / Delivery Lead to join our expanding Technology team here at Findel as we continue our digital transformation. Reporting into the Head of Software Engineering and aligning with the Head of Business Change, you will lead and manage the delivery of 2+ software development squad (depending on size) in a timely, controlled and predictable manner.

You’ll be responsible for planning, leading, organising, and motivating agile teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in line with programme standards. You will also be responsible for software delivery using agile methods in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll use your strong interpersonal skills to identify and engage with BA’s, developers, UIUX Designers and Testers ensuring that the project is meeting the agreed milestones, and then manage all ongoing communications across the business to ensure all are kept informed at an appropriate level. This role is not solely focused on project management.

Your background in delivering multiple agile projects directly will ensure that you are capable of managing teams, typically to deliver a specific product or transformation via a multi-disciplinary, highly skilled team. You will define delivery needs and feed these to the Head of Business Change to enable resource to be appropriately allocated. You will be core to decisions that build high performing teams, where people are excited about the work they are undertaking.

Naturally you will be an Agile/Lean advocate and be the driving force for agile process ensuring agile is understood and enacted. Working closely with the product teams and Head of Software Engineering, you will drive standards, improve efficiency across projects, remove barriers for your squad whilst also arranging and leading all daily stand-up activities, sprint planning, demos and retrospective follow on meetings for your squad.

What you will do

• Responsible for the overall planning and delivery of strategically significant projects, ensuring all workstreams are understood, captured, planned and all dependencies are tracked and that the project is delivered to plan.

• Provide overall stakeholder management and project progress reporting on a regular basis

• Produce and manage timelines and budgets, handling and communicating changes as they arise

• Drive standardisation and best in class quality through agile methodologies ensuring best practise is achieved

• Mobilise and lead cross-functional squads to deliver the project and roadmap operating across multiple teams who share an aligned interest in a project or initiative as needed

• Day to day management of development teams, facilitating the agile ceremonies, removing blockers and resolving issues.

• Ensuring development teams have a well-defined backlog

What we are looking for in you

• Experienced in the delivery of projects in an agile environment

• A passion for organising and improving processes and workflows with the ability to drive Agile and Lean practises

• Promote pace and energy within the team and lead by example

• Ability to influence and communicate at a senior level, explaining the value of initiatives to product or feature driven stakeholders, fielding challenges with the way things are done

• Able to work independently, excellent personal organisation and able to demonstrate consistently balanced good judgement and logical thought prioritisation
