We have two exciting opportunities within our Merchandising Team here at Findel for Assistant Merchandisers (one permanent role and one fixed-term contract).
Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that the right product, in the right quantity, is in the right place at the right time to maximise stock availability, supporting the delivery of total company sales, margin and customer satisfaction. With great communication skills, you’ll enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders from across the business.
Your Role:
Some of the responsibilities of these great opportunities include:
• To assist the Merchandiser and Merch Manager build, in conjunction with the Buying team, a balanced, commercial and profitable range.
• Provide suppliers with estimated production requirements.
• Facilitate the data changes relating to SKU management.
• Run weekly demand and sales reports provide key insights and trends.
• Agree forecasts for new and existing product, ensure all buys are placed on time for product launch and continual service throughout the life of the SKU.
• Liaise with the Supply Chain Manager/import team / freight forwarders regarding direct import.
• Have a full understanding of the Slim4 system including, placing orders in line with agreed levels.
• Action vendor and buying disc forms liaising with customer operations.
About You:
We’re ideally looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
• Broad knowledge of computer systems, minimum of intermediate Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to work with enthusiasm and confidence.
• Team player who works in partnership with others, shares information, knowledge & experience.
• Build sound working relationships with internal departments and stakeholders.
• Demonstrates broad business thinking and sound commercial judgement.
• Ensures all activities and decisions make life better for customers.
• Thinks ahead to identify and anticipate potential opportunities and threats.
• Able to work independently; plan own time, multi-task and prioritise effectively.
• Challenged by a fast-paced role with a high interruption level; able to cope well under pressure.
