Forecasting & Supply Chain Analyst

Reporting to the Head of Merchandising, you will lead the forecasting and inventory planning processes including the production, analysis of reports and MI that supports decision making for stock and range planning forecasts. This role is wholly responsible for the production of powerful MI to support the decision-making processes for product and SKU management for Findel Education.

Key aspects of the role:

o Produce and analyse the range plan forecast, identifying trends and commentary to support decision making to ensure range planning is optimized.

o Research, produce and strengthen all aspects of reporting and analytics for product and product ranges.

o Identify the requirement for new reporting standards by working closely with stakeholders.

o Recommend and implement policy changes for inventory / cost reductions including the maximization of rebates.

o Produce all forms of reporting and analysis for product availability and in/end of life SKU reporting.

o New line performance reporting and the identifications of excess stock risk.

o Stock turn analysis reporting.

o Stock holding profile by category reporting and analysis to provide accurate trend data.

o Reporting category trends and reacting to Stratification changes by recommending adjustments to stock.

o Leverage forecasting and inventory planning systems to generate 12-month rolling demand forecast and purchasing plans, target stocking levels and recommended purchases that support the overall product strategy for Findel Education.

o Collaborate with Buying, Sales & Marketing, CX teams to ensure that projected demand inputs are appropriately represented in the demand plan.

o Formulate or execute contingency policies/programs with suppliers in order to ensure continuity of supply or address unexpected threats to supply chain fulfilment, in particular as a result of Covid-19 and other factors.

Qualifications and Experience:

You must be a self-starter, a quick learner and must have superb communication and influencing skills, a positive attitude and a thirst for personal growth.

Razor-sharp analytical skills and excellent MS Excel skills are required (especially the ability to identify trends and drawing conclusions from vast amounts of data). Ideally, experience of Microsoft Power BI reporting & dashboard development.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential, as is experience of using forecasting and inventory planning systems (ideally Slimstock).

Degree in supply chain management, economics, or a relevant field.
